Otters Celebrate Sea Otter Awareness Week with Fishy Cakes!

Shedd Aquarium writes:

In celebration of Sea Otter Awareness Week, Shedd’s resident sea otters will receive a sea-licious cake made of ice and tasty sea treats. Shedd’s marine mammal trainers decorate blocks of shaped ice and round enrichment items with colored clam “frosting.” Of course, no otter cake is complete without accents of krill, shrimp and crab. The floatable cakes go in the freezer to set, before placed in the middle of the pool in the otter habitat for Shedd’s furry friends dive in to devour.
